About Us
Cumbrian Cow Maize Maze is a family business, run by Tom & Anna Stable. The Maize Maze was established in 2021. We are located just outside of the Lake District approximately 20 minutes from Bowness, 30 minutes from Kendal and only a few minutes from Ulverston.
Alongside the Maize Maze The Stable Family also run a dairy farm in the nearby village.
We are fourth generation dairy farmers. The family moved from a farm in a neighbouring village to Bolton Manor Farm in 1981, where the prize winning herd of Pedigree Holsteins are milked today. Tom & Anna run the farm alongside Tom's parents Michael & Denise.

Between Bolton Manor Farm & Edgehill Farm the vast majority of the feed for our cows is homegrown. Including the maze maze. At the end of the season when all the kids go back to school, the maize maze is chopped and stored ready to feed to our beautiful cows throughout the winter.

When you visit the maize maze you may also notice the Cumbrian Cow Ice Cream Farm located over the crossroads. This is run by Michael & Denise, first established in 2016 it is a real favourite among both the locals and visiting tourists. There are up to 16 flavours on offer all made on farm by Denise and her team. Along with delicious milkshakes made with the ice cream too. More information can be found at Cumbrian Cow Ice Cream on Facebook.
